Schoolboy Harry Boam will debut for Wellington in a State Championship cricket match against Central Districts starting in Wellington tomorrow.
The 18-year-old Wellington College student this year became the youngest player to earn a professional contract with Wellington.
He has been called into the 12 named for the four-day fixture at the Basin Reserve in place of allrounder James Franklin, who is on duty with the New Zealand team for the first test against the West Indies in Dunedin.
Boam is a middle order batsman and medium-fast bowler.
Fast bowler Andrew Lamb has also been named for the game, in place of another international, Mark Gillespie.
