KEY POINTS:
SYDNEY - Melbourne lock Dallas Johnson looks set to take on the New Zealand Warriors in today's qualifying final at Olympic Park after emerging unscathed following yesterday's training session.
Johnson was thought to be no chance of taking on the Warriors after damaging a medial ligament in the final round win over South Sydney.
But the workaholic backrower appeared ready to defy the odds after running freely at training.
A final decision will be made later this afternoon, but Storm prop Brett White said he was always confident Johnson would play.
"Knowing Dallas, his leg will have to be hanging off for him not to play," White said.
"But the medical staff will probably have a big say in that because if all goes to plan on Sunday he could have two weeks off and be back to 100 per cent further down the track.
"It's an important game but it's not do or die for us.
"It's finals football, it's so important to be at your best and everyone in the team to be at their best."
The Storm will move straight through to the preliminary final with a win, but will remain in the finals hunt with a loss.
The Warriors need to win to survive through to the second week.
