New Zealand's Marina Erakovic has advanced to the third round of the Australian Open junior girls tennis tournament after beating Australia's Michelle Brycki in straight sets.
The No 9 seed won the match 7-5 6-4 and will now play the winner of the second round match between Irena Pavlovic of France and fifth seed Yung-Jan Chan of Chinese Taipei.
Brycki gave up 54 unforced errors in the match and served seven double faults.
Erakovic is also involved in the junior girls doubles tournament, seeded second with her partner Victoria Azarenka of Belarus, with their first round match starting later today.
