The Indonesian leg of the All Whites two-match soccer trip to South East Asia has been cancelled for security reasons.
The Indonesian FA has notified New Zealand Football (NZF) that due to security concerns around the upcoming legislative elections the April 1 friendly match would not take place.
New Zealand play Thailand on March 28 in Bangkok and are looking to replace the Indonesia fixture with another match in Thailand or elsewhere in the region.
"Given the importance of the elections, Indonesia have taken a conservative approach to security and we're comfortable that the well-being of our players and staff has been safeguarded," NZF chief executive Michael Glading said.
