LISBON, Portugal (AP) Jackson Martinez scored twice in FC Porto's 2-0 win at home over Braga, breaking a three-game winless streak for the defending Portuguese league champions on Saturday.
The much-needed win lifted Porto level with Benfica, which drew 2-2 at home with Arouca on Friday, at the top of the standings.
Sporting Lisbon sits one point behind the pair of title rivals before it plays at Gil Vicente on Sunday.
Martinez opened in the 48th minute with a left-footed strike, and the Colombia striker sealed the victory by heading in a second goal 10 minutes from time.
Also, Estoril provisionally moved into fourth place by winning 3-0 at Pacos Ferreira, while Belenenses drew 0-0 at Guimaraes.
