United offers internet booking

United Airlines' New Zealand website offers travellers a secure booking system for flight and seat confirmations, rental car and accommodation bookings, plus it lets them check in online and access flight information on pagers, desktop e-mail or e-mail-enabled mobile phones.

To celebrate the launch of the site, United is offering bonus miles and the chance to win two return airfares to Los Angeles.

To enter, travellers need to log on and register for the competition before October 31.
