Classy Cambridge miler He's Remarkable gets his shot at a seven-figure purse this side of Christmas after all.

Last Saturday's unlucky Emirates Stakes emergency left on a flight from Melbourne last night to contest the A$1 million Railway Handicap (1600m) in Perth on November 19.

Trainer Roger James said the 4-year-old had made a lightning recovery from his impressive last-start consolation win under 59kg in restricted company on the Emirates under-card.

He has also confirmed Flemington pilot Kerrin McEvoy for the ride in the Ascot group one.

"We had to take a lot into account but I'm comfortable with the decision," said James yesterday.

"The main thing is that the horse has bounced through his Flemington win really easy. Kerrin is also keen to ride and the 52kg in Perth is a lot nicer weight than what he had to lump around the other day."

The main target this season with the Pentire entire, the Doncaster Handicap next autumn, remains unaffected by the decision to go west.

He's Remarkable still has plenty of time to have a decent break before preparing for the April 21 feature and a win in Perth only enhances his chances of making the Doncaster field.
