Racing: Dye to leave Sydney for Mauritius

Former Kiwi jockey Shane Dye has signed a six-month contract to ride in Mauritius.

The Mauritius Turf Club website said Dye would ride for the Gilbert Rousset stable and was expected to arrive at the end of March in time for the season-opening meeting on April 4.

Dye has failed to establish himself in Sydney since returning from Hong Kong early last year after eight years in the former British colony.
