The Greens' campaign is focusing its attention on the environment, and co-leader Russell Norman told the couple of hundred supporters gathered for the launch that the Greens will be the voice for those who have no voice.
Dr Norman says there are 900,000 children and young people who cannot vote, but they have a deep interest in the future of the planet.
He says the Greens will campaign as the voice of those who will inherit the earth.
