Dame Susan Devoy's home was targeted by a burglar last night.
The Race Relations Commissioner and former squash champion told Newstalk ZB she arrived home last night after a wake for her friend's son, and unknowingly interrupted a burglary.
"Well I rang the police and thankfully they got there really quickly. But before they just arrived the person had got out upstairs and taken off.''
She said it was the fourth time in 18 months the family had been targeted.
