Police and emergency services tonight are praising rescuers who responded to assist a man who fell down a steep bank.
Two neighbours heard noises near a steep embankment around 7pm where they discovered a male in difficulty some 15 metres from the top.
They were able to reach the man using a tow rope and other equipment whilst waiting for emergency services.
By the time police and fire services arrived, th two neighbours had managed to pull him back to the top of the embankment. The 50+ man had slipped while walking through bush.
The man was very tired but luckily uninjured. He was very appreciative of the assistance from his quick-thinking neighbours.
