Upper Hutt police are looking for a 13-year-old girl who has been missing for more than two weeks.
Metua Aripu was last seen on December 30 when she left her Mary Crescent home in Upper Hutt.
Police initially reported the girl to be 14 years old, but have since said she is 13.
"We've been making a number of inquiries as to her whereabouts and believe she may be in the wider Pomare or Taita areas in Lower Hutt," Acting Senior Sergeant Steve Dearns said.
Metua was spotted on January 16 in Stokes Valley, Upper Hutt, by a family member but police were unable to find her.
She is of Pacific Island descent with brown eyes and dark brown shoulder length hair, Mr Dearns said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
