Politicians have a busy day ahead as Parliament continues to sit under urgency.
The House is resuming debating this morning as the Government tries to progress several pieces of legislation.
Moves to extend the bank retail deposit guarantee scheme wrapped up this morning, but most of the day is set to be dominated by legislation amending the Resource Management Act.
It is a 15 part bill which is designed to make sweeping changes to the RMA including the creation of an Environmental Protection Agency, streamlining of consent processes, and enabling fast-tracking for projects deemed of national significance.
The Government aims to have the bill passed through all its stages by the end of the week.
