KEY POINTS:
Wellington bus passengers' woes appear to be over with news that drivers today ratified a proposed collective employment agreement (CEA) with GO Wellington.
The Tramways and the Manufacturing and Construction Workers unions met and ratified the agreement at a meeting this morning.
General manager southern region of NZ Bus, Zane Fulljames, said the company was pleased to have reached an agreement.
"We thank the people of Wellington for their patience throughout what I know has been a unsettled time," Mr Fulljames said.
"This agreement allows us the stability and certainty to move forward with confidence as we work to become the way people in our community choose to travel."
Bus drivers walked off the job for one hour during the morning rush hour two weeks ago and GO Wellington retaliated by locking drivers out the following day.
Today's stop work meeting disrupted bus users from 9am, but services were expected to return to normal by 3pm.
