KEY POINTS:
Hot air balloons lit up the Viaduct Harbour in Auckland last night to promote The Balloon Day for the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation. The event is to raise awareness of the fact that one in four Kiwi kids has asthma.
There will be fundraising events across the country this Saturday at participating Mitre 10 stores.
The Balloon Day campaign is supported by actor Robyn Malcolm, MPs Rodney Hide, Darren Hughes and Sue Kedgley, the Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra and Wellington mayor Kerry Prendergast among others.
