Kiwi golfer Danny Lee is in a share of second place after the opening round of the Puerto Rico Open on the PGA Tour.
The 23-year-old fired a five-under 67 today to be one stroke back from leader Brian Stuard (-6), alongside American Jason Gore.
Lee came in to the tournament in a share of 168th on the FedEX Cup standings and a good showing this weekend at the US$3.5million (NZ$4.13m) event would certainly help his cause.
Fellow Kiwi Tim Wilkinson carded a one-over 73 to be in a share of 77th.
This week's field in Puerto Rico is notably weaker given the top players are contesting the World Golf Championship-Cadillac Championship in Florida.
