They've tried to stay a bit of an enigma, Wu Lyf. The Manchester four-piece declined to be interviewed and just turned up and writhed around in front of curious crowds. But now they have had to package their art into this, their debut album. Laced with strained, growling vocals and bouncing on thick drum rhythms, it delivers a mix of post-punk rowdiness (We Bros), good delinquent fun (Such a Sad Puppy Dog) and more excitable psychedelia.
