A 19-year-old Wellington man will appear in court today following an incident which left a 35-year-old man with multiple stab wounds yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to an address on Moxham Avenue, Hataitai about 3.40pm where two men required medical attention.
Senior Sergeant Simon Feltham said a 35-year-old man remains in a stable condition in Wellington Hospital with multiple stab wounds, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A 20-year-old man received minor injuries and was treated and discharged last night.
The 19-year-old arrested man faces charges of aggravated burglary, wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and theft.
Mr Feltham said a scene examination is underway property and is likely to be completed later today. Enquiries into the incident are continuing.
