A Waikato principal has pleaded guilty to fraud and theft charges in the Hamilton District Court today.
Huntly West Primary principal Barry Bloomfield has admitted two charges of using a document for pecuniary advantage.
The 56-year-old hired and paid a relief teacher $17,000. The teacher never taught at the school and was in fact based in Hong Kong.
Bloomfield also admitted two counts of theft related to selling one of the school';s fences on the website Trade Me.
He will be sentenced in July.
