Auckland Council says that production has not not been affected at Auckland Film Studios in Henderson after a fire broke out overnight.
The blaze destroyed a workshop but the council says that it has not disrupted the 300 people working on site.
Some 60 firefighters fought the blaze at the premises in Henderson which broke out just after midnight and took hours to get under control.
The sequel to martial-arts film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is being filmed at the studios.
It is one of the largest in the country and has hosted productions including Mr Pip, The Chronicles of Narnia, Whale Rider and the Xena series.
