Te Puke Sports former All Black Aidan Ross will be on the move after next season’s Super Rugby Pacific competition.

Ross will leave the Chiefs and become a Red at Queensland from July 2025 until the end of 2027.

Australian-born Ross debuted for the Chiefs in 2017 and has been an influential part of the team, chalking up 88 games to date.

“This decision hasn’t been an easy one, but this year will be my last season with the Gallagher Chiefs,” he said.

“This team has meant so much to me and my family. I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve been provided while wearing the jersey.

“The boys and management are a great group, and I am looking forward to kicking off the Super Rugby Pacific season with them.”

Gallagher Chiefs head coach Clayton McMillan said he wishes Ross all the best for his next adventure.

“Aidan has given a lot to this team, and we support him and his family in making the move next season. He has been an asset to us, on and off the field, and I have no doubt he will be the same for the Reds.”

Te Puke Sports fullback Fletcher Carpenter made his All Blacks Sevens debut at the weekend.

Te Puke Sports 2024 title-winning fullback Fletcher Carpenter made his debut for the All Blacks Sevens side in the latest round of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens in Cape Town.

He and Rob Rush were drafted into the squad after veterans Joe Webber and Andrew Knewstubb were ruled out.

Carpenter was the Baywide Rugby fullback of the year.
