Swimming
Katikati College held its annual Swimming Sports Festival on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. It was held early this year to avoid clashes with school camps and interschool swimming.
The first day was Championship Day with the students competing for the titles. The strength of swimming at Katikati College was apparent with tight competition for all events and over 40 records broken. The whole school then joined in to compete for house points and have fun on Thursday and Friday with their house colours flying proudly. The overall house points were tallied on Friday afternoon after the senior synchronised swimming teams performed their spectacular finales. Winning house was MacMillan, second was Stewart, third Glenstanes and fourth Mulgan.
