The Chiefs Wide Secondary School First XV Competition begins tomorrow and will run over four weeks. Four teams from the Bay are involved in two divisions.

Tauranga Boys' College and Rotorua Boys' High School are competing for the Chiefs Cup, with Bethlehem College and Trident High School in the Chiefs Trophy.

Bethlehem College host Thames High School from 12pm tomorrow with Tauranga Boys' drawn away at St Peter's College in Cambridge.

The final of the Chiefs Cup will be played as the curtain raiser to the Black Ferns v Australia match at Rotorua International Stadium on June 1.

Bay of Plenty Rugby secondary schools manager Kyle McLean says it is a great opportunity for our local schools. "I'm sure it will provide a great opportunity for the teams to find their feet prior to the business end of the season."
