The same day she set fire to her and the victim's car and tried to obtain a $6600 insurance payout.
On October 8, Haworth sent false text messages to the victim to try to frame him for her crimes.
Then on November 19 she met with a female associate and discussed a plan to pay the woman $350 to tie her up, beat her and cut the word slut into her back to further implicate her victim.
Haworth's lawyer Tony Rickard-Simms described his client's behaviour as "bizarre".
"One has to ask what has driven Ms Haworth to do this? She has been described by her referees as an excellent mother and excellent member of the community.
"Prior to this offending she had led a blameless life," he said.
Mr Rickard-Simms said her offending must have its origins in the life she led with the victim, who was not an "innocent" party as he tried to betray in his victim impact statement.
Post separation, the victim was convicted of breaching a protection order and assault, the court heard.
Mr Rickard-Simms urged the judge to impose home detention and no reparation order.
Judge Wolff said Haworth's continued denials and criticisms of the victim showed a lack of insight into the gravity of her offending.
"No doubt this was a toxic relationship, but given the degree of planning involved in trying to implicate your former partner for crimes he did not commit, I take your criticisms with a grain of salt," the judge said.
Judge Wolff said Haworth's behaviour had been "particularly sinister".
"If the victim had been charged and found guilty he would have faced a substantial term of imprisonment," he said.
