A woman has been arrested and charged with drink driving after a three-car crash.
Western Bay of Plenty road policing manager Senior Sergeant Ian Campion said the three-car crash happened about 8.40pm last night on Totara St.
He said two cars had stopped at the railway crossing on Totara St and a third car failed to stop resulting in the nose-to-tail crash.
Mr Campion said two people suffered minor injuries in the crash and a male occupant from the third vehicle left the scene before police arrived.
He said the woman driver was processed for drink driving and her breath alcohol limit exceeded 950 micrograms _ more than double the adult legal limit of 400 mcgs.
