Stolen equipment used to rescue stranded whales and dolphins, destined for Tauranga, has been found.
Whale rescue charity Project Jonah today announced the missing trailer, worth about $5,000, had been recovered.
The trailer was stolen just over a week ago from the charity's rooftop carpark in Mount Eden, Auckland.
The trailer had been earmarked for Tauranga and was going to house valuable dolphin and whale rescue equipment.
Project Jonah chief executive Kimberly Muncaster said the trailer was recovered after a police raid on an Otahuhu house.
