she found a road cone in the van she was travelling in and threw it out the window, which was closed so it smashed.
The van belonged to the man she was travelling with, who became angry with her. The man left
in the van before
police arrived. The woman refused to tell police who he was or provide any further information. A pile of smashed glass was found nearby. Checks revealed the woman had a warrant to arrest so she was taken into custody. Police are unable to substantiate the alleged assault.
Crime prevention advice
To all the tradies out there, mark your tools! Invest in an engraver and etch your driver's licence number on them. They're less likely to be stolen if they're marked because they are easily identifiable, which deters offenders from taking them and they cannot be pawned or sold to places like Cash Converters because they're traceable. Police come across suspected stolen tools often. Sometimes we're unable to prove they're stolen and the bad guys get to keep them. With a driver licence number etched on them, we can trace them back to victims and get them returned. We can also link the offender to a crime and hold them accountable.
