Two-year-old Oropi crash victim named

The child who died in a crash on Oropi Rd on Sunday was Maddison Daisy Ward, aged 2.

Police have today released her name.

The young girl and a woman had been travelling along Oropi Rd when their car crashed into a concrete power pole near Castles Rd at 7.45pm.

The dark blue sedan ended up in a nearby paddock.

Police said the girl had been a local to Oropi and the family had requested privacy at this time.

The incident is under investigation and no further information is available at present.
