Tauranga City Council decides today whether it will go ahead with a proposal to introduce free parking int the CBD for a month.
The council meeting begins at 1pm and is also expected to decide whether to back a proposal from its trading company Bay Venues to investigate redeveloping the $6 million former Mount Cosmopolitan Club property beside Blake Park into a sports centre of excellence.
Bay Venues will fund the feasibility study and has been talking to sports organisations.
A decision on if the council will make a submission against resource consent for Rena is also expected.
