Record crowds helped make the National Model Engineering Convention and Hobby Expo a success.
Memorial Park and Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre were filled with model locomotives, engines, ride cars, traction engines and boats from Thursday, with the final day of the convention wrapping up today.
There have been lots of smiling faces.
Tauranga Model Marine and Engineering Club secretary Owen Bennett said the convention had seen record crowds throughout the event.
"It's been a hugely successful national convention. We've had long queues of people waiting for the 20 or more locomotives that are ferrying passengers."
