Three-car crash in Tauranga

Emergency services responded to a crash in central Tauranga involving three cars this evening.

The police were called to the crash on the corner of 15th Avenue and Fraser St at 5.48pm and arrived at the scene at 5.54pm, a police spokesman said.

The crash involved three vehicles, according to a report, he said.

A motorist driving past the scene said the road was partially blocked and the police were directing traffic around the crash.

The Fire Service and a St John Ambulance were also in attendance.

The police said it was unclear whether there were any injuries, although one report suggested there may have been minor injuries.
