Tauranga crash: Traffic delays following SH29 incident

Traffic is delayed in the area.

Emergency services are responding to a crash in Tauranga involving three vehicles on State Highway 29 near Cambridge Rd, Tauriko, reported around 6.50am.

The road is partially blocked and motorists are asked to avoid the area and expect delays.

Police said there was no indication of injuries at this stage.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline said a truck and car had crashed on SH29, near the intersection of Cambridge Rd.

The caller said the crash looks to be on the side of the road.

“Traffic seems to be moving, albeit, very slowly. the truck is blocking the turn,” they said.

People are being warned to expect delays.
