New Zealand Insurance executive general manager Garry Taylor said they served an increasingly important purpose.
"Almost everyone knows that we can't continue with the business models of old, yet for many, the first step can be the most daunting. And that's where SBN and the Awards can help, providing role models across a range of industry sectors that have reduced their impact,' he said.
The winners will be announced at a black tie ceremony on November 28 at Shed 10 on Auckland's waterfront.
