Voting has opened for the Tauranga City Council Council byelection and museum referendum.
The byelection is being held to fill the at-large seat left when Councillor Gail McIntosh died in January. Twenty candidates have been nominated.
Tauranga City Council voting packs are now in the post for people to have their say on a new at large position on the council, and share their view in the museum referendum.
Distribution started today, and residents could expect to see their packs arrive in the mail over the coming week.
Packs will include a voting paper for the 2018 byelection, a profile booklet on the candidates, a voting paper for the museum referendum, including a unique access code with the option to vote online and an information sheet on the museum proposal.
