The Tauranga Arts Festival may be over but work to finalise the city's flagship arts festival for another year will continue for another week.
Established in 1999, festival director Jo Bond said the last workshop of this year's event ended on Sunday afternoon, closing off a successful festival.
"I think it went really well, it was well received."
The Tauranga Arts festival showcased performances and exhibitions from different venues around Tauranga including Carrus Crystal Palace, Baycourt, the Tauranga Art Gallery and around the streets between October 19 to 29.
It was opened by a dawn chorus, marking the beginning of a varied programme of speakers, workshops, activities and events for members of the public to enjoy. Ms Bond's favourite part of the event this year, however, is clear.
