BOP Athletic Championships: Mount Maunganui College had some outstanding performances at the BOP Athletic Championships held at the Tauranga Domain on Tuesday.
Charlotte Drabble competed in the junior girls division placing first in the 100m, second in the 200m and first in the long jump with a distance of 4.96m breaking the BOP junior girls long jump record.
Jess Blewitt, Caitlin Harris and Hope Preston also competed in the junior girls division with Jess finishing second in the javelin, Caitlin second in the 300m and Hope third in the 800m.
Other outstanding performances for the day were Steven Whyte second senior boys 1500m, Caitlyn Lyttle first senior girls javelin and Olivia Collier second senior girls triple jump.
In the intermediate girls division, Ashlee Ennis placed second in javelin. Ella Pollock was first in both the discus and shot put events. Sophie Sandford first in the 200m and second in the 400m. Olivia Murry was first in the 400m and Toni Power placed third in the 800m race.
