Two Bay of Plenty musicians have banded together to create a star-studded fundraising concert for Tauranga woman Diane Wilson, who was critically injured in a car crash in Australia.
Miss Wilson, 23, sustained a smashed pelvis, broken neck at the base of her skull and brain bleeds in the August 31 crash in Melbourne. She has since woken and managed to laugh and joke but her recovery will be long.
Miss Wilson's father Craig Wilson is well-known locally for his work in the music and theatre sectors and both have received an outpouring of support since the crash.
Now musicians Gray Bartlett and Brendan Dugan will put together a line-up of major NZ stars of music, who have donated their time and performances to help Miss Wilson's recovery.
Nothing Trivial actor Shane Cortese will join entertainers Chet O'Connell, Chris Gunn, Tom Sharplin and Jodi Vaughan plus members of the True Legends Touring Band along with Bartlett and Dugan for the concert.
