The Tauranga SPCA Pet and Family Fun Day has been postponed due to today's wet weather.

The popular event was set to kick off at 10am, however it has now been rescheduled to May 2, according to SPCA Tauranga's social media page.

"Very disappointing but it is far too wet. Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you on the second," said a statement by SPCA Tauranga on social media.

The free entry event is weather permitting which includes a day of group dog walks, live music and entertainment, pony rides, animal demonstrations and family activities.

The event also welcomed families to bring along their dogs on leads as well.
