Some tracks on Mauao to be closed during aerial spraying

The Waikorire and four-wheel drive tracks on Mauao are expected to be closed briefly.

The Waikorire and four-wheel drive tracks on Mauao are expected to be closed for up to five hours tomorrow morning. The closure is to ensure visitor safety during a targeted aerial spraying operation to control a Japanese honeysuckle infestation on the southern face of the mountain.

The closure will take place between about 5.30am and 10.30am. Signage barriers and security will be in place to manage the closure.

The Base Track and Oruahine Tracks will remain open.
