New Zealand's politicians are some of the most accessible in the world. I am often talking to people when out and about in Tauranga, and I receive plenty of feedback and opinions via social media.
Anyone who wishes to can call or walk into my electorate office to talk to one of my staff and get an appointment if required.
An essential part of democracy is politicians' accountability to the people they represent -- their constituents -- and their ability to engage in the political process.
With this in mind, on April 15 I will be holding a "People's Question Time" for Tauranga residents at Tauranga Boys' College. This is a chance for you to put any questions you have to me, or just to let me know what you think about local or national issues.
I am always working hard to represent and advocate for the people of Tauranga in Wellington as your Member of Parliament.
