UPDATED 2.23pm: Police have advised the section of State Highway 29 between Omanwa Rd and Poripori Rd will remain partially blocked for at least another hour as they attempt to remove the truck.
Police issued a statement warning drivers to steer clear of the area if possible, but diversions were in place for Kamai-bound traffic.
The truck will be removed by heavy haulage equipment and the highway is expected to be closed while this is done.
