The intensity was extreme, the error rate almost non-existent and the physical demands from the coach relentless.
What else could it be but another All Blacks Sevens squad training at Mount Maunganui's Blake Park under the guidance of master coach Sir Gordon Tietjens.
This week Tietjens has been fine-tuning the group of players who hope to make the cull for the next two legs of the IRB Sevens World Series in Las Vegas (January 24-26) and Wellington (February 7-8).
New Zealand are top of the table after three legs with 58 points, followed by South Africa (56) and Fiji (48).
Tietjens will name his team for the next two legs this afternoon and they will have a final training run on the Sir Gordon Tietjens Field at Blake Park tomorrow from 10am to 11.30am.
