Sentencing for Brookfield man James Linnecor Stone in relation to conspiring to supply more than $2000 worth of the drug P has been adjourned to next month.
Stone, 23, who earlier pleaded guilty to the charge, was due to be sentenced in Tauranga District Court yesterday, but his lawyer Olivia Brittain successfully sought an adjournment until March 17 to enable a home detention report to be completed.
His offending came to light after police obtained and checked text data from a cellphone belonging to one of Stone's associates between September 17-28 last year.
The associate, who also appeared in Tauranga District Court yesterday, denied two charges of supplying methamphetamine and a cannabis dealing charge. The woman, who has elected to defend the charges at a jury trial is due back in court on April 7 for a callover hearing to set a trial date.
