Sea Princess cancels visit to Tauranga

The first cruise ship planned to arrive at Port of Tauranga for the start of the 2014/2015 season this weekend has cancelled its visit.

The Sea Princess was due to arrive on Saturday but has since changed its plans.

Port of Tauranga corporate services manager Sara Lunam said the cruise ship was likely to not visit this weekend.

"They've changed plans and their likely to not come here on Saturday. They've cancelled their visit to Tauranga."

She could not say what had caused the change.

The Sea Princess is scheduled for its next visit to Tauranga on October 18, arriving at 4.45am.
