Te Puna's picturesque Maramatanga Park will be the place to be tomorrow afternoon.
The home side's clash with Tauranga Sports will be the only Bayfair Baywide Premier competition game in the Western Bay.
After two rounds Te Puna and Tauranga are unbeaten, along with Whakarewarewa and Te Puke Sports, so tomorrow's clash will be an intriguing game between in-form sides. Te Puna have their best depth of talent for many seasons, have an astute new coach in Daniel Quate and are led by inspirational halfback Te Aihe Toma.
If they can knock over the impressive Tauranga outfit they will gain the boost in confidence that is often the difference between making the play-offs and just missing out - as they did last year.
In the other key games of the round, Rotoiti, who were poor last week against Tauranga, will be a more formidable foe at home against Te Puke Sports, while Greerton Marist's young side will take on Whakarewarewa in Rotorua.
