"Te Puke are number one, a very structured side and has everything to lose. On the other hand we are an unpredictable team, have everything to gain and are fairly confident," coach Kopae Irihei said.
Last week at the Domain, Tauranga easily accounted for Mount Maunganui but knock-out rugby is another story all together.
Tauranga coach Mike Rogers said: "It's a bit weird to be playing the same opposition two weeks in a row, not something that I have experienced before as a coach.
"There won't be any real changes to our personnel or game plan this week. That being said what we do know is that we will have to improve our execution significantly as we weren't great last Saturday."
Mount Maunganui coach Rodney Voullaire is typically bullish about his team's chances after what happened last year.
"Semifinals footie, anything can happen. Tauranga played their hand (last) weekend and deserved their win, but this weekend will be a different story. We will be changing up our game plan and the boys will be ready for it."
In Division One, Rangiuru are home to Poroporo while Arataki are away to top seeds Te Teko. Rangiuru coach Hika Reid is thankful to have the game played at their home ground.
"Poroporo are a strong team and will be a hard team to beat even at home," he said. "We will be looking to play the same game we have been all season.
"This weekend ball retention will be key and an important focus for us."
Arataki coach Marty Bourke sees Te Teko as the biggest challenge of the season.
"Having travelled to Galatea last weekend gave us an indication of what the travel will be like.
"The key factors for winning will be to have every player adding real value and our accuracy in all parts of the game," Bourke said.
"We are also very hopeful our loyal supporters can bring their voice as Te Teko is one of the toughest places to play in the Bay."
