Two men have been flown to hospital after suffering two separate medical emergencies in Te Kaha and Waihau Bay.
A 52-year-old man had to be airlifted to Tauranga Hospital after suffering a serious medical emergency in Te Kaha on Monday.
The Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter was sent to the Te Kaha Medical Centre where the man was stabilised by a local GP and paramedic.
The patient was then flown to Tauranga Hospital for further treatment.
On Saturday, the rescue helicopter was sent to Waihau Bay just before 2pm, where a man had suffered a medical emergency.
