The Trustpower TECT Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to the small East Coast settlement of Te Araroa on Thursday.
The helicopter was dispatched just after 4pm to help a 49-year-old female who was suffering a medical condition that required urgent hospital care.
The patient was flown to Whakatane Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
