The Transport Accident Investigation Commission has completed its inquiry into the Rena grounding.
A copy of the report, with the briefing and report, will be released on Thursday, December 18. The information will not be made public until 5pm. The report will publish at www.taic.org.nz at that time.
Before being made public, the report will be shown to a group of more than 100 stakeholders on Thursday morning, including iwi, local and central government representatives, and representatives of the broader business and community.
It will then be made available to media in a later briefing.
The meeting will include Chief Commissioner John Marshall QC, supported by Chief Investigator Captain Tim Burfoot and Rena Investigator Rob Thompson.
