It was a quiet night for Tauranga fire services despite it being Guy Fawkes yesterday.

Tauranga fire senior station officer Mania Durham said there were only two calls to the station last night and neither of them were Guy Fawkes related.

"It was a good Guy Fawkes in Tauranga, everybody behaved," he said.

Greerton Fire Service station officer Richard Moreland said there was one call for a shelter belt fire on Welcome Bay Rd but fire services were able to control the fire.
